Community Brain Injury Services Board of Directors

Community Brain Injury Services is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of many local community leaders and advocates. The Board of Directors has the principal responsibility for fulfillment of the organization’s mission and the legal accountability for its operations.

More specifically, Community Brain Injury Services’ Board of Directors operates to:

    • Establish a clear organizational mission,
    • Form a strategic plan to accomplish our mission,
    • Oversee and evaluate the success of the strategic plan,
    • Hire and provide adequate supervision and support to the Executive Director,
    • Ensure the financial solvency of the organization, and
    • Institute a fair system of policies and procedures for human resource management.

The Community Brain Injury Services Board of Directors meet quarterly on established days through the year.  Unless otherwise noted, the CBIS Board Meetings are held on the second Thursday of January, April, July, and October from 12pm-2pm in the Board Room at Cantor Stoneburner Ford Grana & Buckner at 7130 Glen Forest Dr. #400, Richmond, VA 23226.The Board Meeting dates and times for 2018 are as follows:
